Before installation, please check out: How to prepare for Robot-Config installation From RobotConfig version 1.15.0 it is possible to install and run RobotConfig without Docker, however steps 1 and 2 from installation preparation are still needed!
Installation
- Download the zip file with the executable from FlexLink Download Center [http://download.flexlink.io]
- Select type "Software", select product "Robot-Config zip file", select latest version
- Click "Download" button
- Save the file "robot-config_<version>.zip"
- Unzip the file in your preferred location, e.g. C:/robot-config.
Besides the executable RobotConfig.exe, folders "jre" and "lib" will be available and are required for the application to run properly. - To start RobotConfig: double-click the file RobotConfig.exe.
A splash screen will appear during startup and when it disappears the application should be available when opening Chrome browser at http://localhost:5567 - To stop RobotConfig: a system tray icon should be visible when the application is running. Right click the icon and select "Close application" to shut down RobotConfig.
For first time installation:
Create a desktop shortcut called Robot Config on desktop. Set the following target:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" -kiosk http://localhost:5567
This shortcut will open Robot-Config in Chrome fullscreen mode.
Upgrade
- To upgrade a RobotConfig installation, download the desired version (see Installation steps 1-2).
- Stop RobotConfig, if running (see Installation step 5)
- Extract the zip file to the same location as existing installation and confirm to overwrite all files.
- Start RobotConfig and confirm new version in splash screen or "About" menu
